The step-over bench physically and visually separates the dirty and clean side of the gowning room before entry into the cleanroom. The user sits on the seat plate, swings their legs over to the clean side and places footwear on one of the two separate shelves under the seat. A fully welded construction with no gaps or sharp edges.
02 Product description
The step-over bench is a key element of every cleanroom entry gowning room. It spans the full width of the transition and physically prevents staff from stepping onto the clean side while wearing dirty-side footwear. The user sits on the bench, removes footwear for the dirty zone, swings their legs over to the clean side and puts on separate footwear or shoe covers, without either pair of shoes touching the opposite floor.
The entire construction is made of formed stainless steel sheet, fully welded and fully polished, with no sharp edges. Two separate open shelves under the seat allow clear, hygienic storage of footwear, kept apart by side, without cross-contamination.
We adapt the length, seat height, depth and shelf layout to the width of your gowning room and the number of simultaneous users. We prepare a proposal with a 3D model (STEP) before manufacture.
The seat plate acts as a clear visual and physical boundary between the two zones, reducing the risk of cross-contamination.
Footwear for the dirty and clean side is always kept apart, easy to see and easy to reach.
A load capacity of 150 kg provides stable support even with frequent, quick footwear changes.
Fully welded, with no gaps or sharp edges, resistant to disinfectants and aggressive cleaning agents.
